In my 8th grade Engineering Class I created a small Arcade Machine out of wood, a raspberry pi and a 7 inch LCD screen. With the experience of my mini Arcade Machine I was inspired to create a larger full size model during my free time.
I learned from my first Arcade Machine that it was good to split tasks depending on our skills, so I got the help of my School Education Technology teacher, Mr. Marslender, to build the shell, while I worked on the software and design of the whole project.

Initially I used the original Raspberry Pi as the whole concept was using unused electronics around the school. I later figured out the Raspberry Pi was too weak to run retropie smoothly on a 1080p monitor. I switched to a Raspberry Pi 3 B+ because that was the newest system I had at the time and was able to run things perfectly.
