Download the Personal Edition from the link above.
Go through the setup process and make an account if you don't already. Create a new project and call it "Example Project" or anything you want.
It'll load up some files. After you finish loading, right click the "Hierarchy" area, hover over 3D Object and then click on Plane.
Rename the plane as "Ground"
Then create a sphere in the same "Hierarchy" area and then call it "Player". If it doesn't place it in the middle, set the position as X:0, Y:1,Z:0 to keep it above the Ground.
Click on the ground in the "Hierarchy", then on the right panel named "Inspector", click on add component. Click on the physics panel, then rigidbody.
Uncheck Gravity and Check Kinematic.
Do the same for the Sphere, but keep Gravity checked and Kinematic unchecked. Just add the rigidbody Physics component onto the Sphere.
Press the Play button to test your game, you should see your sphere fall onto the Ground, but not through.
Add a folder in the Assets menu. Right click on the empty space, go to create, and the click on folder.
Name the folders, "Prefabs", "Scripts", and "Materials"
Open up the Scripts folder, and add a C# script. Right click the empty space, and click Create.
Name the script, "movementScript" (Make sure to not have any spaces)
Double Click the Script to open it. You should be greeted with this screen.
Replace the current Code with this. Just copy and paste it. Make sure the file name is the same as the tutorial or else it won't work.
Drag the script into the inspector menu on the side.
To test the code Press the play button at the top. You should be able to control the ball with WASD.
You can change the speed value at the side to change the speed of the Ball. (Just know that changes in the "Play Test Mode" won't be saved when you exit the "Play Test Mode")
Create a "cameraController" Script in the scripts folder.
Paste this code into the "cameraController" C# Script.
Drag the script onto the Camera's Inspector Menu
Then drag "Player" from the hierarchy to the [Player None (Game Object)] box.
The camera sees the side of the sphere so increase the y value, and then angle the camera down to face the camera. You can change the Position and Rotation to X:0 Y:3 Z:-4 and X:35 Y:0 Z:0 respectively.
Press the play button so you can test how things work. If you did everything properly, you should be able to move around with WASD and the camera should follow you around.
