Why do we prioritize our future?

Our future is purely theoretical, our present is not. You can live your life dreaming of a better future, but what good does a future do if you don't have a life now?
I'm not even close to living a lifetime, but I know what it's like to live.

I have 3 points in life I like to follow.

I don't prioritize anything.
This is one of the worst ways to live. I confuse myself with what to pursue first, I get distracted by small ideas that fog out my big ones. My time management is shit. I get things done, but never in advance. As long as I don't have motivation to complete something, it will stay unfinished. However bad this may look, this got me to where I am now. The small ideas are what set me apart, they are the ones that make me unique. I may be dumb, not have good grades, and have terrible ideas, but I have a choice.

I choose not to rely on others.
The reason I built upon my skills to this level is because I want the achievements to be mine. This is hella selfish, but the more I rely on others the less I believe in myself.

I don't want to die knowing I didn't live the day before.
Studying is great and helps you in the future, no doubt, but this isn't how I want to die. Nobody knows our final day in this world, so might as well live your life believing it is your last. This is cliche, but I believe it. Living for the future is pointless. While it gives people a reason to fight for another day, I believe it's better to just live your current day to the fullest and worry about problems when they come up.

This all may be terrible advice and I would never recommend this to others, but this is how I get all my ideas. I live my life as full as I can, and when I can't, I believe that it was meant to be. I don't believe in fate. It's just the belief in myself that keeps me going.
